Congratulations! 1 day MUST be a new record.

I cant help but feel there might be a backlash coming on all these quick approvals. I know they had a huge backlog and obviously wanted to clear it, but they can't possibly be doing all the background checks they need to in 1 day.
I'm not suggesting there's anything untoward in your history Babykie (or anyone else for that matter), but they must have to do SOME checks or why bother with all the paperwork in the first place???

    Very odd.

    Hello babykie_star

Congratulations.... I cant believe 1 day processing. My husband was very shocked and wants me to apply asap but i insist we still have to wait for him to have a healthy bank account again coz we got married last April 2009 and we spent most of his money

I will add you and send you message on YM.

Again congratulations and have a safe trip.

Gud luck and God bless to you and your husband.

    My congratulations

... but have to agree with Marbell.

This nonsense they've been feeding us for months / years about doing local
checks, and that's what's been slowing things down, is exactly that ...

    NONSENSE !

Those people who waited 15-17 weeks must be seething

Divine intervention Someone upstairs looked down and liked your smile Congratulations.

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

Just a little bit BB, we've been waiting "only" 17 f weeks
What makes me wonder is how did they managed to clear that backlog so totally in just a month after our approval so they are issuing the visa "while you wait" now

Congratulations. They'll be soon be doing them "while you wait", or maybe even self service, just help yourself to the visa you want and pay at the till on your way out.

    the problem is now..

it looks like they've finally got their act together for applying for a visa from outside the uk. processing time down to days for some..

but applying for a visa inside the uk has increased, for many it only took 1 month to get ilr, now in some cases its 3 months

Sorry I think this is an outrageous statement, I do not think you got a spouse visa in 1 day, It is completely aggravating to read people actually believe this rubbish. The UK embassy would no way issue a SPOUSE visa the same day. A tourist visa i can well believe as it only looks so far, sorry to those who think i a being rude but the statement is a joke.

    May God Bless us all
I will also pray to those people who are waiting for their visas an to those who are planning to apply aswell..

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME
Please DON'T be misled by the title of this thread ... that incidence NOW appears to have been a "flash in the pan" ... at a time when it seemed the Embassy was dishing out visas like favours at a wedding, or sweeties to kids - as if there was no tomorrow!

Immediately prior to then, many married couples found themselves waiting for up to 3 months ... and sometimes even longer! MY wife, on the other hand, happened to be one of the lucky ones ... in that she and I submitted HER application on January 20 last year, and the spousal visa was granted on 23 February - albeit 3 days after I'd returned alone to the UK!

So, my friend, it's really anyone's guess ... but I wish YOU godspeed with YOURS. You never know ... you could be as fortunate as WE were. Good Luck!

    wow..congrats!!!

    Well, perhaps not.

Am I the only one who's still got doubts about this ?

Many originally questioned the fact that the visa was awarded in 1 day
to a 21yrs old (she mentioned in a thread that she turned 22yrs old on 4th Oct),

.... and since that post (4th Oct), not a word, not a peep... nothing.

No "... anyone living around XXX ?"
No ".... I'm arriving on XXX"
No... "... I've arrived, and I'm settling in etc etc "

    Nothing !

Call me a cynic....... but ..........
