    Spouse Visa of Fiancee Visa?

Hi what do people feel is the easiest to get. I am working in the Philippines to next May and we were planning on a February wedding here in the Philippines. But someone mentioned to me that I may be better off getting married later in the UK and applying for a finacee visa.

    Any views on this please?

    Hi there good morning.

If you are planning of getting married in the Phils you might aswell do that way and apply for a spouse visa afterwards. In my view spouse visa is the cheapest, quickiest and easiest way compared to fiancee visa. Once your spouse has arrived in UK he/she can work straight away.
Not an expert, I only try to help.

you may have seen here on this great forum that, a spouse visa was issued in one day!
    same for fiancee visa.

Cost wise, I think it's much cheaper to marry in the Phil, not just because of the Wedding but, the cost of spouse visa here in UK. Refer to other threads on the cost and the visa websites.

For my wife and I, we wanted to marry in the Philippines, the obvious reasons being, so all her family could attend....It is, after all the biggest day of her life and mine!

We both wanted to commit ''big time'' so what better than marry there. No option of a quickie divorce unlike in the west.

Good luck and keep us posted

Getting married in the Philippines is definately the best option. The British Embassy's criteria for refusal of a spouse visa appears to have to be a bit stronger than with a fiancee visa, your wife is free to work in the UK from the day she arrives, the cost of a nice wedding is much cheaper in Phils and it costs a lot less in visa fees overall.
