    Re: "Leave to Remain" (ILR)

    Hi there,

    I getting worried now, regarding my ILR application:

    I sent my ILR application last jan 15 ............ the post office say "Next day delivery"

    will I get any notice if the home office received it already or will they make me worry until i get my passport back

    I'm worried bcoz my visa will expire this week

    I dont really know and im really

    Please any reply from you guys will be a relief

    all I know if your visa expired while your application is in Home office, you got nothing to worry about (IMO)

    Did you send it by registered mail? My wife sent her application by courier and if I remember correctly, she got an acknowledgement letter within a few days saying that they had received her application and details about processing times and contacting them etc.

    check to see if they have taken the money out of your bank

    if you used registered post etc, it might not show as delivered on any tracking because it takes time as the HO gets 1,000s of apps aday..

    no problems if your visa has expired after they got your app,
    your here legally until they tell you whether your app was successful or not

    No need to worry unnecessarily, Adel ... as others have emphasised, once your application has been posted off, you're free to remain [in YOUR case, in 'Bonnie Dundee'] pending its approval ... and it WILL be granted, have no fear!

    aha!i need to report u in home office that ur illegal immigrants here
    joke sis were the same man!i send mine by registered letter last jan.7,'10 and then they send me a letter the next day that they recieved my applications with all my paper works.
    well,finger cross i hope that they approved it coz my residency permit for 2 years is also finish this coming pebruary 12,2010

    dont worry sis..
    when i submitted my application i only had about 2 days to submit it because of the number of days before i arrived in the uk.
    i spoke to the border agency and they said they normally look on the date that you sent the application on the post, not the date that they recieved it. so dont worry...

    thanks Ian, yes i sent it by registered mail congrats btw for your wife and step-daughter for having their british citizenship

    wow sis you sent yours 7th of Jan 2010 and it will expires 12th Feb 2010 cool , mine is sent it last 15th of Jan and will expires on 24th jan, thats why im worried if they didnt get it in time lol
