I've managed out of 150 attempts to connect only 1 call for about 30 seconds. Apparently it appears to be subsiding now, and has calmed down considerably.
Marvie is thankfully fairly high up in the apartment building, but the ground floor is completely flooded. The BBC photos show quite serious results.
