    Submitted tourist application today

    HEY guys!!!me submitted this mornin ma application....i received a txt sayin ma visa application has been dispatched to the British Embassy for processing,,you think how long should i wait guys???i told them i pick it up myself and really fly to manila straight since if i have the visa(really PRAYIN HARD!!)maybe thats around DEC ,ill jst book the flight with ma bf when im in Manila and start there,,,

    and if i dnt get the Visa ma bf and i ill meet up in Hongkong instead then Thailand after that here back home in Cebu,,,

    dear lord i hope me get it,,,, wanted to meet his family,i think its ma turn....

    i am the hubby no we are now planning to apply on 17th oct for spousal visa. would have been next week but bank has been dragging its feet on a bank statement i need

    we're on the same boat here whiteraven! my husband's been waiting for the updated bank statement too! I will be lodging my application around the same week as your wifey.

    the consensus is a spousal visa is the easier route and certainly cheaper

    from the advice given here, its easier to apply for a spouse visa. I'd be happy to give you some pointers when its time for you to apply.

    it will be more expensive if you get married in the UK, i think! besides, it will be nice if you have your family and friends during your wedding right?
    or you can keep it simple like a civil wedding....

    we went the civil wedding route..

    really,ma man wants to have a big wedding here but im more practical,like to keep it simple...I'd go for civil wedding first then save up and maybe after a year or two have our dream beach wedding,,,

    Very true but generally like for like its far cheaper to put on a Wedding in Phill than the UK. Most of the time it pays to make sure they dont know a non local person involved

    i made sure the wife made all of the arrangements even when i was there. as i only had a 3 week visit we had to find a friendly pastor
