excellent first post. This is fun.
Do me a favour. Think of a country, and use 2 adjectives, nouns to describe it.majority of people think similar from their upbringing and world views. Of course we know it is not true, and people judge from not knowing. People being generalized based on limited and inaccurate information by sources as television, cartoons or even comic books.
I notice the further east you go from britain, the more people start to loose their ideas. Well known country always have a reputation and a stereotype .if you use a country unknown people scratch their heads on what to say about it. E.g tonga:erm:
Ah the middle east- those people who wear towels on their heads and shoot into the air with guns alot?
Educate yourself by speaking to the people and making up your own mind. This is only for arguments sake to prove people do judge.
French (smelly and rude )
americans (fat and lazy) always people say the same
english (not british)- friendly and gregarious
germans (orderly and efficient)
switzerland - friendly; but aloof and exclusive
scotland (drunk and mean)
scottish stereotypes aren't even scottish
ireland (singing&dancing potato eaters)
wales (sheep loving, beer swilling, singers)
the rest you can do yourself. Have fun.
Source- just type a country and the word stereotype in google
