    Question recipe pls for cake

hi everyone here in forum...how's the summer holiday?

anyway you now readig this post of mine and hope that you could help me to prepare a very easy cake recipe using with already sponge cake. coz i want to skip making sponge cake coz less for budget and less time coz aside from cake ive prepare something too so i dont want to put lots of effort making this cake as long that this cake made and design from me specially the iceen so i can put the HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my husband.. isnt it good?? rather than just buying a frozen cake in some supermarket like tesco, asda, sainburys, morissons. right so id rather want to give my husband a homemade cake with my prepare gift and a card and a book of cinema..

anyway before i get too excited with this can you please guys help me to decorate this already made sponge cake which i can just use to my homemade cake..well its not really homemade bec as i said i wanted to use a ready made sponge cake and the rest would be your suggestions...i dont know too how to make an i ceen for cake where i can write a messsage for the cake..i try to look thouse website cake i even find a personalize cake... but i cant afford so that would be next time when i earn my own money..but for now.. i do need your simple suggestion to make a nice cake with this ready made sponge cake that i will buy in supermarket??

any suggestion would be really appreciate.......

i will go back here for few minutes to check..

    Here's a simple one:

    RASPBERRY MOUSSE CAKE

    Ingredients:
    4 eggyolks
    1/3 cup sugar
    3 tablespoons rum
    3/4 cup raspberry puree
    1 tbsp. water
    1 1/2 tbsps. Gelatin
1 1/2 cup all purpose cream
    whipped cream
    store bought sponge cake

    Directions:
    For the Mousse:
    1. Eggyolk mixture: In a bowl, whisk together eggyolks, sugar and rum over simmering water till lukewarm.
    2. Remove from heat and beat till cold.
**Sprinkle gelatin over the water. Let this stand for a few minutes.
    3. Melt the gelatin and add it to the raspberry puree.
    4. add the eggyolk mixture.
5 add the all purpose cream. Mix well.

Ingredients for the topping and syrup:
1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen berries
    whipped cream
    1/4 cup raspberry puree
    1/4 cup water
    1/2 cup sugar

    Directions for the syrup:
Mix together puree, water and sugar in a saucepan. Simmer until syrupy.

    Directions for assembly:
    1. Line the cake pan with paper in the bottom and acetate on the sides.
    2. Arrange chiffon cake or slices in the bottom of the baking pan.
    3. Pour mousse in the center.
    4. Top with another layer of cake or cake slices.
    5. Remove from baking pan and Spread the whipped cream on top.
    6. Arrange berries.
    7. Brush with the syrup.
    8. Then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Then you can buy some designer icing for that lovely birthday greeting on the top of your cake.
