    Talking Jim Hubbard - Introduction.

Hello, my name is Jim. I am a British man married to a Filipina and we currently live in the Philippines.

I will be 28 years old very soon, and I will soon be returning to the UK to work - as I've pretty much depleted my savings here in the Philippines (I've lived here for a year)!

So, this is just a little bit of an intro about myself.

I hope I can be helpful to others - especially when it's about questions relating to living in the Philippines, and I know that this forum will help a lot to increase my knowledge for bringing my asawa to the UK.

So, for now, I'll wrap up this introduction, and I am glad to be here on this forum.

    Many Thanks,

    Jim

    Welcome!

I'm sure you will be able to help others in this forum.

My husband went through the same route, he lived with me here for 2 years then returned to UK (2007) to work and save!
I'll be applying for spouse visa soon , hopefully our son and I will be able to join him just in time for Christmas.

Why is this just so predictable..!! It sound like that you can afford to buy your own ticket home, rather than be on the Embassy's distress list, and the British Chamber of Commerce membership having a whip around.

Time to gird up your loins, things in the UK are very tight in terms of employment.

Hopefully you will not return and sign on to benefits etc.. If you do then it will be us tax payers who will have effectively funded your sexually fuelled sojourn in the Philippines..

    AJ

You don't half talk some absoulte crap.

If he's lived here in the past and paid taxes then he's entitled to whatever he can get when he returns to the UK, the same as I get medical treatment in the UK even though I spend more and more time in the US.

As for 'sexually fuelled sojourn' I guess you may be surprised, but this goes on with 10,000's of people every Friday night in the UK

Thanks for saying what I wanted to Win2Win!

As for what AJ said - hmmm, sexually fuelled sojourn - sounds like an A Level English student.

I am married. Hmmm, it's a lot more than just sexual fuel. It's more beer fuelled.

Besides, it wasn't AJ who paid for my sex and beer fuelled sojurn, it was the tenants who were in my house for the last 10 months who just moved out, added to the thousands of quid I had saved from working 7 days a week for a year back in the UK.

But thanks for the welcome to all of you, and especially to the lovely AJ.

    Salamat po!

Indeed nice situation as the weather has now decided summers over it seems in the UK

If you are hoping to bring your Wife over on a Spouse Visa and live in the Uk for sometime. Do make sure you spend sometime helping her improve her English (BBC world news useful for this to) very easy it seems for the Brit partner to adapt his/her English so the Phill understands but no use once in the UK when meeting others in social situations.
Oh lord why did you make so many clothes and shoe shops
