it would have to be in her name you are not allowed to own a home or business in your name.

technically, you can own a business, but only 49% or something.

But, you can do what you want if you employ 10 filipinos or something like that

Before investing any money in property anywhere in Asia it is a good idea to spend a LOT of time researching the net and canvasing opinion of those who have done that

Once your married it will become joint ownership. Your name can be on the documents, but if she dies before you do it won't mean a damn thing because the house will then become your property, but the land that it stands on will become the property of her nearest Filipino relatives and as others have found in the past, those relatives that you may have given many a handout to over the years will suddenly only want to talk to you through their attorney.

    yeah, it's horrible.

most places don't have AC (at least here in neg or). so I just smell like a sweaty baboy in there.

I am so glad that torture is over, and I feel for Swayse!

I feel for swayse or feel like you sway over and fall over cos you sweaty?

I wonder, I think keep it simple. Filipinos would probably want absolutely everyone at the ceremony, including the garden gnomes for food, dancing and everything.
It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum. And I'm all out of gum.
