    You're welcome sis
Its great we can still enjoy the dish here but i agree with jim, prawns here are not quite thesame as what we have back home,
    and that's what i'm missing

Yeah it's a really subtle difference, I was in a Tapas bar in Liverpool with my sister when she came down from Scotland to visit the other month and they served Gambas al Ajillo (it is a Spanish dish after all) but it was just not the same.

With only 7 days to go the butterflies in the tummy are giving me a rollercoaster ride of their own (Or maybe that was the huuuuuuge chinese buffet lunch I had today with Tita Hara - arah)..

But today I think I made a wise choice and popped by the Natwest and handed over £700 and ordered travel money for the Philippines! I got it at 72.6836 PHP to the £ Not the greatest high street price ever, but the best I could find today. And it was handy I opened a new account with them 2 weeks ago.. Be even handier if I get the new debit card before Tuesday

But, with a loss of sterling I have 55,500 pesos and over a fiver change in the bank to buy me a burger on my return to the UK..

Didn't quite manage to save as much as I had planned, but it only has to last 16 days and then I get paid again. So, I should do fine

Here's to the next 148 hours till I board my flight

Hey Northerner!...not long to go now.

Really, don't worry, you'll be fine...It's always stressful a few days before you go, as there are things to sort out...You're always thinking, have I got this, have I remembered that?
Everything falls into place, the day you leave. Just close the door & go!

You're going on a great adventure...Life is for living!...There is nothing like that first trip...I'm still out here, on "active service", got just under 2 weeks left to go, of my 2 months stay.

Seriously though, I'm sure you'll both have a GRRREAT!!! time...Just be prepared for the heat...It's too mainit (hot)...innit. Good luck.

P.S. I hope you like rice.

Yep, I certainly agree with Somebody. As they have said, the best things in life are free.

Few words of advice: Don't let them know that you have so much money with you as they (friends, family & others) will expect you to pay everything. Just be vigilant at all times.

Very true, I guess, it's colonial mentality thing. When Filipinos see white people they assume that they are all rich. Sad though.
