Another way if you have the time to prepare is ask your Credit card company to issue a credit card in the Wifes name on your account.

Then she has the Card in her name and on her. But of course this takes a bit of arranging in the first place and self control of the Wife
Oh lord why did you make so many clothes and shoe shops

But from what she told me they basically asked just for the copy of the credit card used for booking, which she had as well - sent her scan of my card with CVC blacked out through e-mail together with the letter
CX are normally OK with just the Credit Card photocopy. But not always - so best be safe. My experience is that Cebu Pacific always want it and Aboitiz (Superferry) not only want the letter but invaraiably require to verify on the phone as well at check in!!!!!!

Note the pro-forma needs the credit card holders address & phone plus e-mail contact details at the top of the letter - especially important for Aboitiz.

Please note: The physical credit card used to pay for tickets must be presented by the cardholder for verification at check-in, or when collecting the tickets. Otherwise the cardholder must present the physical card used at the nearest Cathay Pacific Ticketing Office for verification prior to the flight departure.

source: Cathay Pacific FAQ - Online booking

But from our own experience it is enough to do it the way I described before - get your BF to scan (or copy) FRONT of the card and make the letter and to send it to you through e-mail, print it and present it when checking-in at the airport with your e-ticket.

ok thanx very much guys, ill do that...Just in case, dnt anna mess things up,,lol..ive travelled before to Germany and Spain for a holiday..Had a german bf before for 3 years..ay back..lol.old story..Anywayss he used a Visa mastercard or smethin in booking online, i just presented ma passport and visa..

This is just what ive known and read...
If your Electronic Ticket was purchased from cathaypacific.com using Visa's Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode, you will NOT be asked to show the credit card used to pay for your ticket at check-in on departure.
However if your Electronic Ticket purchase was made NOT USING Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode you will need to show your credit card either at check-in or at any Cathay Pacific office prior to travel.
The person named on the credit card does not need to be the person travelling, but the actual credit card used for purchase must be presented for verification otherwise you may be asked to make a cash or alternative credit card payment at check-in.
