i can only compare it to the philippines, as those are the only 2 i have lived in, yet you make a fair point, made well too.

Aston Martin & Jaguar although neither are truly British anymore.

Music British pop and rock is becoming the classical music of the future.
(and as a side reference just look how popular the Beatles are in the Phils )

Our Architecture classic and modern (as long as you forget the 50's and 60's)
