Since obtaining a visa would be my main concern for now, maybe you guys can help me by introducing me to job sites/links for companies that offer visa sponsorhip (employment opportunities not only for the locals).

Thanks and regards,

Hi Scion

Could you outline your background a bit more. Abbreviations you mention are not familiar to this country But what kind of work did you do in Japan?

Once you tell me what kind of engineer you are I can give you some great job links. Offshore Engineer, Mechanical, Civil, take your pick. But in the meantime, I will just talk of some recruiting websites

Here is your first port of call is a paper the Daily telegraph which will tell you about locations to work in. I wish this helps you

http://jobs.telegraph.co.uk/engineering-jobs/

Also to search UK wide you can use the search Engineering Jobs

http://www.engineeringjobs.co.uk/

This one is called KDC good for specialist engineering recruiting
http://www.kdcresource.com/

And Electus Recruitment Solutions is a technical recruiter as well

And this one seems obvious for the website address. The Engineerhttp://www.theengineer.co.uk/Jobs/Home.aspx

Due to the nature of your work, you will come under the governments new highly skilled TIER system. I am sure you have heard about it. It simply boils down to the amount of points you can get based on your experience and skills.

* Tier 1 – Highly skilled migrants, entrepreneurs, investors and graduates (replacing the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme, the Entrepreneur and Investor Schemes and the International Graduates Scheme)

* Tier 2 – Skilled workers with a job offer (replacing the UK Work Permit)

* Tier 3 – Temporary, skilled workers to fill labour shortages

* Tier 4 – Students

* Tier 5 – Youth mobility and temporary workers entering the UK for working holidays

More about this is on this website here:

Good luck
