Welcome, Elma. And thanks for informing Jonathan about the CFO requirement. In my opinion also, the onus ought to be on VFS staff to forewarn all overseas-bound fiance(e)s/spouses of this prerequisite ... at the time their visa applications are lodged with the Embassies of the countries involved ... thereby sparing prospective travellers much unecessary embarrassment, frustration and additional expense.
