ILR granted when will ID card be received?

    Hi all.

first, thanks to this site now i have my ILR

I got my ILR last October 7 after applying in person. Do i have to book for biometrics or the HO will send me a letter? How long does it takes to get an ID card?

Sorry if i sound dumb, its just that we are planning to visit philippines before christmas and want to settle everything before going on holiday.

    thanks again

    I'm confused.

I assume you arrived on a spouse visa ?
(because otherwise the biometrics would have been done when the FLR was granted).

So, is this correct ..... you can apply for, and get the ILR without submitting initially
    to the biometrics ?
I find this strange ..... as (in the case of a fiancee visa), there is no-way they will
issue the FLR until the biometrics have been completed.

    Confused .... as usual

i applied for an ILR last jan 2009 and never got an ID card. I think ID card is only for those applying for FLR and other visa categories such as work permit holder, student, etc..

    thanks everyone

to ana: i got an appointment by phone by calling croydon office, i think i phoned around 9-10am, after 2 attempts i finally get through. When you phone they will ask for ur name and ur current visa then they will give you the date and reference number. you have to be there 30mins before ur schedule. its easy in person, less worries, i provided 17 letters but the officer just select the best and photocopy it, then he said wait for an hour for ur passport with visa as ur application is approve.
