The list of the world's most admired countries is derived from the 2009 Anholt-GfK Roper Nation Brands Index, released Monday. The authors surveyed 20,000 people from 20 countries--each chosen for geographic and economic diversity--over the summer of 2009. The survey asked respondents to rank 50 countries in six categories: governance, culture, products and services, people, tourism and immigration/investment.

The Germans have to kiss ass now because of their previous behaviour. As for the French, I think the majority of people only visit Paris, Eiffel tower and no go out to the provinces so the REAL France is not experience.

God knows WHY! Most people I've spoken to, consider the Germans an *arrogant, noisy race. But, having said that, the lady living next door to me is of German extraction ... and is a really nice, helpful neighbour ... thus belying this *"popularly-held" image.
