I put original printed pictures in with the application. Not all, but 2 printed A4 pages with pictures and titles (with dates) from a variety of locations over a two year period.
Photocopies will save you pennies, and IMHO not worth the risk of making the whole thing look 'cheaper' and less solid as evidence of relationship.
