you need to prove that you're solvent, that you have more coming in than is going out, and that you can look after the girl without recourse to dole money. It's a hard one, and I suggest directing your query to "JoeBloggs" or "Somebody" here on the forum.Originally Posted by schuey

That's a mistake in my book ... just sayin.
You need to get out there first. Sending her enough money to be able to apply for a visitor visa on her own (maybe £2K needed for a UK holiday?) isn't a good idea, and may not help anyway as the Embassy will wonder where the money came from. And just because she has enough money doesn't mean they will grant a visitor via anyway.
