Currently, Im applying for a student visa to enter UK and soon will be taking Overseas Nursing Preparatory Program ONPP in Lima International in Cambridge. I'm planning to take IELTS this November 2009 and hope I could get 7 or above on all areas. When I pass my IELTS, my next target is to apply for NMC qualification so that I could be a registered nurse in UK someday. Hope I could able to make to UK someday and fullfill my dream to earn a lot of POUNDS~ hehehe
Are you applying through an agency? If so do think they are trustworthy? As the Lima International Learning Academy do not seem to appear on the list of approved education providers, which may make it difficult (maybe impossible..) to get a visa to study there.

Ganun po ba? I thought nurses who apply for a student visa to have experience in UK are allowed to work for about 40 hours a week. Ganun kasi sabi ng agency. 20 hours work based study hours and 20 hours working hours? Hindi po ba ganun?

By the way, nagkamali po ako. Its Lima-International ang agency and yung school is OVT college.

I need po your opinion tungkol dito. Pag nag student nurse po ba ang isang Filipino registered nurse diyan sa UK under ONPP oversease nursing preparatory program, hindi ba siya allowed to work for 40 hours? Baka kasi ma-out of budget ang finances pagdating diyan, lagot! hehe. Sabi kasi ng agency is yung course namin is work-based. Vivisit lang daw ang assesor sa work place and need to visit the school once a week lang daw. Ano po ba ang katutuhanan with regard to this?

THE MOST VITAL QUESTIOn, TOTOO PO BANG MAG GANITONG ONP PREPARATORY COURSE? its like HMPPP daw. I need your opinion bago ko ibigay ang placement fee ko sa agency.

If you're applying for student visa, you don't need agency to help you.
You can apply directly at UK embassy in Manila.
Visit British Council website and you'll learn more from their site.
Working 40 hrs is illegal. They might be scamming you. So be very careful!!!
You will spend huge of money to enter here as student. No joke!
Take your IELTS, if you passed and got 1-2 years experience, you can get working visa in other countries like NZ and Aussie. You can move here easily with working visa and not a student visa. You just need patience and perseverance. The choice is yours. That's the advise I have given to my 3 nurses nieces. One of them is nearly there.
