no,get your finance to phone the office and get the bill changed to both your names and ask for a new bill,you should get the new bill within a week but we have a postal strike

Assuming of course if he was claiming a discount for single person occupancy that he has already notified them that he is no longer living alone.

If he is still getting the discount he must notifiy them as I know of people who didn't and when it came to applying for visas (ILR) it caused them problems. Plus of course he would be breaking the law anyway...
