Smile Thanks everyone...family permit approved just this morning after the interview

I attended the interview this morning and after few minutes, the ECO told me, I'll grant you a visa..

I was shocked, all I could do was to stare at him and get an assurance of what he just said. Yes, you'll have your visa, then he continued on briefing me about the things that I should do when I arrive to the UK. (very kind ECO)

I filed my papers last week, 28 October, Wednesday. By the way, I applied for family permit (thanks to Sir Dom) (thanks to Ji&Ma for the moral support).

It took only five days to process. It was a good decision to file it here in Malaysia.

I got a lot of substantial information here and thanks to those who are very open in sharing their thoughts, ideas and experiences in the visa processing and documentation.

I'll just wait for the UK visa center to send me my passport as I am far away from Kuala Lumpur.

    Thanks everyone.

Congratulations Chancy! It's really a good news, they process it very quick.

I hope you can help me by giving information or advises when it's my time to apply for family permit

    Congratulations again!

Sure, no problem, you may always contact me. I'll be very very glad to help.

Once I am free, I am going to post the process I've been through and also the list of documents I've submitted.

The link belfast_dude posted about the interview is really helpful. The interview is almost the same. So, no worries.

When are you going to post your application?

Thank you very much. I have been reading information about family permit and following your threads about your application. I am receiving great advises from some members too, especially JiMa and Joebloggs, I am really very thankful to them. I am pleased to know that you'll be sharing information with me.

I will be married this January and I am starting to know some information and gathering papers/documents that would help my application. I hope to complete them by February so I could join my husband in UK.

Yes, hopefully everyone here will get the same result.

and thanks for the link you've posted. It was really a big help as I was so clueless with the interview. (I enjoyed talking with the ECO, he was really kind)

    Additional questions he asked me:

What is the shoe size of your husband?

What's the colour of your husband's eyes?

    hehehehehhe.

Right, sure. give me time to do it

Actually, it's almost the same as the link you posted here. There are few that were not included during my interview.

By the way, I got my passport with the visa on it this morning via a courier service... hooray!

I filed my papers last week, 28 October, Wednesday. By the way, I applied for family permit (thanks to Sir Dom) (thanks to Ji&Ma for the moral support).

It took only five days to process. *It was a good decision to file it here in Malaysia.

I got a lot of substantial information here and thanks to those who are very open in sharing their thoughts, ideas and experiences in the visa processing and documentation.

I'll just wait for the UK visa center to send me my passport as I am far away from Kuala Lumpur.

    Thanks everyone.
*"Chanc'y" ... but well worth it! Congratulations on the rapid approval of both your Visa & Family Permit. I'm sure your passport will follow from Kuala Lumpur very soon too.

Yes, indeed. Thank you so much. I received a sms from the visa center that it's ready to pick up. I acquired the courier service so hopefully by tomorrow, I'll receive the original documents I've submitted and my passport.

    Well done
It's good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it's good to check up once in a while to make sure you haven't lost the things that money can't buy.
