divorce notification

Just want to ask what is a divorce notification? My fiance is trying to get a CNI from his local registrar but they said a divorce notification from the court is needed. Hope you can enlighten me with this

Hi Liane I guess it's part of legal procedure to make sure your fiance's divorce paper is alright but I'm not sure about it wait for other member who experience same procedure.
Just make sure your fiance has Divorce Decree Absolute.

It is like annulment paper, they need to see if he done divorce and free to marry already, that is come from solicitor

He got his divorce absolute and he's applying for CNI in his home country and they are asking about a divorce notification. He's worried about the time since we already planned a wedding on January.

I'm only guessing, but I think it may be if his divorce was recorded in a different city or area of the UK from the one where he's applying for his CNI. They probably have to wait for notification to be sent to them from the other registry office.

Thanks for the words of encouragement Poca, we're just getting a little worried about the time, we don't know if we can finish it by January. He will go to the court in the morning to inquire about it.

Maybe it was something like that- he was divorced in UK but he's from Poland. So his local registrar is looking for the divorce notice even if he got the decree absolute. He will ask about it this morning. Thank you for helping.

Anyway I'm from Tarlac, so we are actually just neighbors . My mom's hometown is Nueva Ecija, so we have several relatives around the area (Cabanatuan, Gapan, Zaragosa, San Antonio, etc.) and one of my bestfriends is from San Isidro (near Gapan). I used to hang around her place during weekends when we were in college. Where in NE are you from?

Oh really that's cool, i'm from Rizal, NE, been to those places you mentioned..and I studied at Cabanatuan particularly La Fortuna College year 1996 and my surname is Garcia quite famous
