Deliberately walk past the shop with your hubby,stop repeatedly and say "Wow,look at those"
then look a little downtrodden,take a deep sigh and say"They are my dream shoes,if only I had a pair" (exactly as he does when he looks in a fishing tackle shop window)you could even limp a little as you walk away from the shop to show how unsuitable your current footwear is in comparison to those Ugg boots
I am sure he can take the hint
