We are a British family residing in Spain and recently employed a lovely Filipino Nanny to help with our two young children. (She holds a Spanish Schengen Resident permit due to the fact her mother has resided in Spain for ten years now).
Recently we applied to the UK embassy in Madrid to have her acompany us on a three week break for Christmas and the New Year in the UK. After a lot of paperwork and costs - 250euros she was quickly refused :-(
Surely, it must be possible to have her travel with us?
Can anyone help or advise - did we do something incorrectly?
