So is it addressed to the ECO, I think this is where I got confused....or to my girlfriend, so she can give it to the ECO on application?

Either. You can address it to your girlfriend inviting her to the UK, or you can address it to the ECO explaining how you are going to sponsor the visit.

also you better mention if your g/f works, what property she owns, what savings if any she has and reasons why she will return to the phils after her visit. or you might get what many people get a refusal, and with limited rights to appeal thou as you will be sponsoring her this shouldn't matter but if will not stop them refusing her

Good info Joe, thanks.

She works in Singapore right now, she has her own house, on her own lot and a sari sari store,(all bought and paid for in her village in Phil') so she is doing ok for herself already without me. But, it can only strengthen the case if this is mentioned too. thanks
