Congratulations
It's good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it's good to check up once in a while to make sure you haven't lost the things that money can't buy.
Just received last monday my successful naturalization application. Have a oath taking this Feb. 10 a day before my birthday. Guess this is my present from the Queen.hihihihi Anyway, I have to apply for my british passport after the oath taking coz i off for a vacation in Pinas on March. Hope i receive my passport b4 i go.
Belated Congratulations to Louella and Mary Grace, Iain. It's been a long, hard slog for the three of you, but thankfully that's all behind you now. My apologies for the delay in responding to this thread ... which I realise you'd initiated just before Christmas ... but when I first read it, you had been busy with the paraphernalia involved in applying for the British passports, and I thought I'd wait until those were issued.
So NOW - with everything finalised - "the world's your oyster", mate ... if you can still afford it!
well done!
to loved and beloved is the greatest joy on earth...
Thanks Arthur.
Thank's Wheela.
Thank's Mike,
We did intend to use their new passports to go to Phils this year but even though Mary Grace's school attendance is 100% Louella doesn't want to take her out of school ouside of the normal holiday times and the air fares to Phils during the school summer break are very expensive (over 2K for the three of us), so we decided to holiday in Europe instead and we've booked up to go to Zante in August which cost just over 2K for 2 weeks all inclusive. At least we don't have to go to London and apply for Schengen visas now that they both have British passports.
Iain.

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL
I have just recieved by ILR and it came with a leaflet about having to have to stay in the UK for 2 years or else it can be revoked.
I was wondering if this is the same once you get the british citizenship? if i went back to manila and lived there for more than 2 years, can they take my citizenship back? Are there any other conditions you need to follow once you have recieved your british citizenship?
thanks joebloggs! =)
