i agree! now it is about games consoles, games, iphones! back when i was young (not too long ago) i was happy when i got a presenti didnt care if it was just satsumas
God grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change, the courage to change the things i can and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people i had to kill because they pissed me off.

My best present was talking to my Mahal. She made me happy on an otherwise dull day.

I can relate to that, Steve. Myrna came here last March ... so this was her 1st Christmas in the UK. We spent a lovely afternoon and evening with my son and future daughter-in-law on the Day itself ... and it was great! My daughter and son-in-law live in the wilds of Aberdeenshire, so we chatted on the phone to them for a while, discussing what brought the kids. And that was really nice, too!!

But, for the TWO of US, the real 'icing on the cake' came yesterday ... when all we did was sit and blether about well ... anything and everything ... and nothing in particular. Yet, we were "happy as Larry" ... simply being TOGETHER ... just our two selves!!

That sound great Arthur. You know, our last full day together in the Philippines was spent just doing that, chat! chat! chat! like you say, not about anything you can remember, but just being together, cuddling and looking into each other's eyes, trying to remember every dimple or feature on her face, knowing that it will be a long time before you see each other again.
I like it simple, I am pleased you had a lovely day together.....roll on next year

me and the misses bought our 9yr old gal a Wii, it doesn't have the power of the x box360 or ps3, but it makes up for that with the playability. all 3 of us being able to play at the same time, what's worrying is seeing how good my misses is at boxing

no my wife doesn't need a wii to learn to box, she learnt that from her dad , but it means she can get back in to shape

2 birds with one stone, the misses will be happy you bought her a wii fit, in a week or so she will give up and you'll have it all to yourself to play footy and she will not say anything to you, caz if she does, ask her to start using the wii fit again

The scary thing is that the socks were my favorite gift by far! As they were nice and thick, just what I needed for this weather

As for a PS3, decided that some point in the new year I am getting one.... Again

yes but there are not many games for a 9yr old gal for the ps3 , i haven't played a video game since finishing resident evil 3 on the ps1

thou i am tempted to get a ps3 from work depending on the price

but it will have to wait til the misses gets a full time job, ps5 might be out by then

I remember the good old days when nostalgia was so much better, not like this so called "modern" version.

You sound like the perfect candidate to suffer the addictiveness of online gaming! Trust me, getting you mates together in the same game is on a par with having a few jars down the pub.. As it gives you something to talk about when you next meet in the pub!

One of my friends goes home from work, stays up all night to play the latest war game he is on. His boss books time of work on holiday for when a new game is coming out

I think I meant the Alzheimer 3000, the Parkinson's model is the one that doesn't need batteries.....

your about as far away from the truth as you could be
i use to program video games in the early-mid 80's , all i did was play and program them for many years, and one day i just stopped

i've just been playing on the wii, it's not the same thou, but its a good laugh getting beat at tennis by my misses and my 9yr old gal

my stepson was here 4yrs ago for 18months looking after little joe, he played an online game for like 12hrs+ a day teaming up with people in europe and the phils (depending on what time of day it was), he sold his on-line character for near £500 b4 he went back to the phils , i can't remember the game, but he had the highest score on their European server

Those old C64 things are way behind the joys of carjacking a car with 2 of your friends and then blazing around Liberty City on a crime spree, without breaking any actual laws

Sounds like World of Warcraft to me! Never gone near it myself, I hear it is like crack to some people So I don't fancy it myself.. But yea, you can build up a character to have tons of abilities and some people are serious enough to buy those characters as a quick way to get ahead

Dentists approve of them but sharing can spread diseases, also they're quite cheap new nowadays. (You do mean electric toothbrushes ?!).
