your visa will not be revoked, i asked the same question to my sols before and she said if you got your resident visa and left uk for 2 years (consecutively) then you will have to re-apply for your visa to enter uk again.

Provided you are still coming back to UK for good you may apply for your citizenship. I have listed below an info I was given by my sols before:

- You must have been living in the United Kingdom at the beginning of the three-year period
- On the date that your application is received in the Home Office, you must have permanent residence (ILR) in the UK
- During the three-year period you must not have been outside the UK for more than 270 days (approximately 9 months)
- During the last 12 months of the five-year period you must not have been outside the UK for more than 90 days

I hope I was able to help. But like what other says visiting home office website would help you as well and why not send them an email? They usually respond within 72 hrs of receiving your query. Good luck

u can renew your passport at the phils embassy near you, just make sure that your old passport with ilr is attached to the new one when you travel. like what i said your ilr won't be revoked as long as you have not been away for 2 yrs consecutively. the reason why i applied for citizenship is because it saves me money and time in applying for visa (w/in europe and also in uae) nothing else; to be honest with you, rights and benefits between a citizen and a resident is just the same (except you can't vote, but would you want to cast a vote?).

thank you for the reply.. i have reason also why i want to sorted about the passport issue cause i always have a visa issue cause i am in a pilipino passport and my husband job is always out in the country ..so that means i need to stay in uk for 4 to 5 years if i am coming back soon before i can apply for british passport.hehhehe ..are you gonna vote?who is your pet in presidential candidate..regards
