NO .... u do NOT pay at the VFS office.

You either present them a bankers cheque ... or a receipt from a (recognised) bank
showing them that you have paid the required monies.

    see
    http://www.vfs-uk-ph.com/applying.aspx
(Where to pay your visa application fee)

..... also, u need a booking for the VFS appointment... which is dependent on
    having already paid the fee

Thanks for info. However you say must pay before appointment made, then say you can present a bankers cheque? Is this at the vfs?

Also in the Town where my Fiance is there are only the following banks....Metrobank, landbank, RCBC and DBP

Consequently, my Fiance planned to make visit appointment online this week, then arrive in Manila the day before the appointment, next week then pay the fee at a bank the day before then bring receipt to the appointment the day after.

    Will that be ok?

    VFS will not accept cash.

They will only accept a bankers cheque (drawn on specific banks)
    or
a receipt/confirmation that the money has been transferred/forwarded to
    the UK Embassy's bank account.

If u have neither, they will not accept your visa application form.

Can she not catch a bus to the nearest town with a BDO or BPI branch ?

If u go via the funds transfer route, you need to do it at least 24hrs BEFORE your appointment
(so they can clarify/confirm that the funds have cleared).

For the banker's draft ..... so long ago that we did it, I cannot fully remember
but I believe that you can arrange for its issuance at any time before your scheduled
appointment. You just need to have it in your possesion when u submit the application form
(I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong)

    Confirmation Please

    Hi folks

can someone please confirm re payment. Fiancé tried to phone but numbers not working??

Our plan I'd for my fiancé to make online appoint re FiNce visa. Arrive in Manila the day before appoint and pay visa fee at bank in Manila. Then take receipt to appoint the next day?

    Will that be ok?

If not she needs to take 2 5 hr bus trios to another City to paye at detailed banks. Cause no designated banks in yer town. So I hope she not hot to take such a long trip.

    Cheers :-)

what i did was, i made the online appointment 2 weeks before my intended day of submission.. then a day prior my appointment, i went to BDO and asked for a manager's check drawn... but BDO will only issue you with a manager's check if you have an existing account with them (which, thankfully I had).. not sure with BPI's policy on that though...

what your fiancee plans to do is ok... there is a bdo bank right accross vfs so she can actually pay there and bring the receipt to vfs.. if her appointment is in the afternoon, she can pay in the morning and submit her documents in the afternoon...

    good luck!

May I ask if you simply made the online appointment and then brought your completed Marriage visitor/fiancee visa form VAF1F to the appointment together with all the other required documents ? Or did you have to fill in the form online?
I hope to attend the appointment with my fiancee.

You do not need to fill in the form online. Have her print the application form instead. She can hand it in, along with her other documents required for applying the visa. Just make an appointment online. Pay the fee at any bdo branch.

If she does not have a bdo account. She can just tell the bank teller, that she will pay for her visa fee to the uk embassy. She will need to pay the fee plus the bank charge. Some BDO branch will charge you less than the amount expected. In my case, i was only charge 120php. But the website stated that i should be paying 200php as bank charge. Just accept what it was charge to you. Most of the banks are not updated to the current fees. when you get to the visa centre, the person who will accept your application will tell you that the bank has only charge you less, and you will be advised to pay the correct amount. Just bring some money with you inside.

You cannot attend the appointment with your fiance'. Only applicant are allowed inside. So you have to wait outside. xx
