, Mench. I suggest your first "port of call" would be to consult the website of the ... *Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Gt Britain, 1 Lambeth High Street, LONDON SE1 7JN ... Telephone: [+0044]20 7735 9141 ... for further information.

*This organisation is recognised as being the Professional & Regulatory Body for Careers as a pharmacist in the UK.

    Good Luck!

The first thing you need to establish before to pursue this is whether your qualification as a pharmacist is recognised in the UK. Unfortunately many people who are fully qualified in their field in the Philippines find that their qualifications are not worth a bean in the UK and even fully qualified nurses with at least a couple of years experience of working in a large hospitals in Phils find that they have to go through re-training before they can work here.

    Iain.
Tell me about it ... even teachers! As I've mentioned on here before, Myrna taught at Panabo National High School in Mindanao for twenty-two years ... But, sadly, her BSc/Part Mastoral qualifications aren't recognised by the Scottish Education Department. And, with HER being ineligible to apply for any Government Grants ... on account of not having permanent residency ... and MY being a State Pensioner ... retraining is completely out of the question financially, at present ...

... all the same, I still believe it IS worthwhile our friend taking the opportunity of contacting the RPSGB; if nothing else, it shows initiative!
