    Advice for a worried parent

I am asking for any advice about my son, Isaac, although he was born in the Philippines, he moved to the UK when he was 6 months old, he has been living in the UK for the past year but is now back in Phil for a visit till April. He is there with my wife to visit her family, but unfortunately I am still here in cold England.

He arrived 2 weeks ago and is finding it difficult to adjust to the heat; he has already visited the doctor once as he had fever and was sick. We are worried as he is not eating well and not drinking his milk. He has had to change the usual milk he was drinking in the UK (SMA) and my wife has tried different milks there, but he does not like.

Has anyone been in a similar situation or can offer any advice?

    Thanks

If baby needs cold environment we have some choices there. Install new/ 2nd hand room airconditioner, and there are some cool places like Baguio, Tagaytay, and Majayjay.
We have 3 best nutritional milk manufacturing like Wyeth, Abbot and Meadjohnson.
I heard Wyeth is the most expensive one but more nutritional.
Wyeth- S-26 Gold, Promil Gold, Progress Gold, S-26, Promil, Promil Kid, Bonna,
Meadjohnson -Bonamil, Bonakid 1+, Bonakid 3+,
Enfamil, Pregestimil, Nutramigen, and Nutramigen AA
Abbot- Similac, Isomil, Alimentum, and EleCare
Not much problem if we have money in Pinas.

    im sorry to hear this!

maybe a aircon unit to keep him cool, it take's me a short time to get use to the heat so i guess a baby will take longer?

put the baby in a small room with the aircon, so it can get the air temp down quicker.

if he's struggling with the heat maybe this is putting him off his food.

goodluck,im sure your wife will do her best to look after him.
i have learnt to do what my wife says!

Thanks Penny and BAB for the replies.

Regarding the aircon, just after he was born we had aircon fitted to the bedroom of thier house so that he could sleep. So that is ok for sleep but he cant stay in that room all day.

I agree that the heat is putting him off his food and I thought it may take a few days to get used to the hot conditions, but its taking longer than I expected.

She is staying in Dapitan, which is, unfortunately hot there. She has tried different milk, including progress gold, but yet to find one that he likes. Dapitan is not that big so the choice is a little limited, but money is no problem when it comes to the health of my family.
