    Haiti Charity Song

So Cowell has access to all the best singers in the world, musicians, band members, writers..... and for the charity song he pick an old REM song that is just morbid .... and has Cheryl Cole and Rod Stewart

Charity songs are supposed to be happy and memorable so you don't forget the cause.. aka Bandaid ....

If all those involved donated 10% of their wealth (they wouldn't miss it) they would raise a lot more a lot quicker.

But then they wouldn't get any publicity would they or am I just being cynical?

Many of them already do a hell of a lot for charity and don't go after publicity. The same as many of the Premiership footballers. One I know spends a lot of time with terminally ill kids but it has never been mentioned in the press.

    Giggs awarded freedom of Salford

The Mayor of Salford, councillor Roger Lightup, presented Giggs with his award.

    'Exceptional contribution'

He said: "Freedom of the city recognises people who have made an exceptional contribution to our community and Ryan has devoted a tremendous amount of his time to work with charities and children over a number of years."

thou because of who giggs is, the press are attracted to him, but then again the publicity he can generate can only help the charity work he does.
