    Question Interested to study UK

Hi! I'm Jason Mancao, a registered nurse here in the Philippines. Im so interested to go abroad/work esp. in UK (who wouldn't?). It has been my Sunday routine to check out the local newspaper with hope that there is an open door for eager one like me to be able to work in UK. So far, i was able to identify so many agencies/ consultancy that is offering a like Work / Study in UK. But i'm hesitant to really dive into such because of fear that they are bogus recruitment agencies & will just milk out money (resources that is so hard to have at the moment).
So, my concern is, does anyone of you know of a valid agency / consultancy service that offers the same services but does necessarily ask for a huge fee?
I do hope that by joining forum like this, will provide me with helpful info that i could base ny future decisions on.
    Thank you so much!

My understanding is though that there are only a very few specialist nursing roles on the UK shortage list, so unless you are trained and experienced in those roles there is no real point applying to the NHS as you will not get a work visa.

not necessary true, if the type of work you do is not on the job shortage list then employers cannot recruit workers from outside the European Economic Area until they have completed a resident labour market test.

I'm really sorry Jason, but I've only just seen your thread , welcome to the Forum, and just to say that Arthur has given you the correct information. As you probably now know, the NMC has a document which you can download called "Registering as a nurse or midwife in the United Kingdom for applicants from countries outside the European Economic Area" (19 pages)
