Being a product of the "old school"texting in general [and, particularly the use of 'phonetic' language it entails] has never really appealed to ME.
Besides, I tend to be "all fingers & thumbs" and, when contacting my family while in the Phils, I used to "dictate" what I wanted to say to my wife, and SHE would then type it into my mobile ... rather in the style of the "traditional businessman" and his secretary (e.g., "take a memo Miss Navarro ...")
