dom, don't forget many filipina are now British citizens on here, so this doesn't apply to them..
at the mo it takes 5yrs residency to be able to apply for Citizenship the EU way, only 3yrs the spouse visa way, also EU law doesn't cover Citizenship, so the gov can do what they want with EU citizens and their non EU spouses.
