Sorry I cannot comment on your sister-in-law's situation, as regards her 'Child Tax Credit', Ekks... except to say that I think it might be worth her while checking with whichever agency is responsible for issuing this allowance
... just in case she's eligible to receive backdated payments for the period BEFORE she became a British Citizen. Besides, she'll never know
