    I believe it would be better all round, if Goverments were to concentrate their efforts into providing incentives for young mothers to stay at home raising their children ... until they [the children] are school-age at the earliest.

    Just MY opinion!

    Yeah, I know ... but obviously the way things are at the present time, the alternative, i.e., government encouragement for women to return to work more or less immediately after their period of Statutory Maternity Leave, is proving far more attractive. And believe me, the so-called benefits available, in no way compare with a full working wage in even the lowest-paid employment.

    to get a full pension, you need to work 25 year's?

    but a mother who look's after kid's can find it hard to fit in these 25 year's, maybe looking after kid's should be considered work toward's a pension?
    i have learnt to do what my wife says!
