    filipino foods

    afternoon all

    im still getting use to some of the tastes from the philippines, even after 20 months of my wifes cooking, i thought id just about tasted the lot,

    nice suprise this afternoon elenas been making siomai, with a nice dip,and its realy tasty,

    one of the joys of being married to a filipina,

    All Filipino foods that I eat are westernised versions. I worked on a Filipino ship in asia 8 or 9 years ago where I was indoctorated with some pretty horrific foods and it's taken a while to get back used to everything.

    Last week I drove past a Filipino food store in Leicester. Excited about it, I told my girlfriend that she could get a taste from home when she comes here. Her reply was that she would much rather eat western food

    I have already experienced that on my last visit, the thing that really surprised me was that the average Filipino consumes 100 X more sugar per day than a westerner, yet they all have pearly white teeth.
