On the subject of Bank Charges: I've raised this issue before on the forum ... but believe it's worthy of mention again. Anyone contemplating taking Travellers Cheques in US dollars to the Phils would be well-advised to think again. The only place it seems to be possible to encash those, is Metrobank ... and THEY will charge $4 a time for the privilege; i.e., NOT per transaction- but for EACH CHEQUE exchanged.
So BE warned!
