Manchester has got its own spaghetti junction in the north-west, where the M61, the M60 (eight lanes wide) and the A580 meet. Also, it doesn't go BRRRDUMP, BRRRDUMP, BRRRDUMP when you drive along it, and being on the ground, it's in no danger of falling down like the Birmingham one. As for crap areas and mega-posh areas ( Bowden, Wilmslow, Hale etc, highest house prices outside London), Manchester has no shortage of either.
