The VFS will be closed April 1, 2 and 5, so unfortunately you will not be able to submit the application before the new fees start.

    At present the fee is £585 @ 75PHP/£ = 43,875
They have not announced the new rate yet, but assuming the rate the embassy will use will be around 70, then the new fee of £644 will be 45,080PHP

If i'm going to bring my daughter together with my application as a spouse is her fee would be £1,680?

I thought the same when as we are looking at bringing my wife's son here, but I emailed the embassy and they confirmed that the new fee would be £644.

Ugh what a hassle, I am setting off tomorrow and my Fiancee was going to get her MC ahead of time today. We'll have to delay that and wait until the new fee shows up on VFS's Phili website (hopefully Tuesday).

If we have taken out a MC for the original amount, can we still take that MC back to the bank and get a new one with the adjusted amount?

Based on our recent experience, it took my wife several visits to different branches of BDO and BPI before she found one that would give her a MC without an account there.

When she went back after finding out that the application is delayed and the fee will be wrong, the bank said that they cannot issue a replacement but will make a new cheque for the additional amount, thus taking 2 MC's when submitting the application.

Unfortunatley, due to a up at the DFA, his passport is not ready till April 8.

My wife has to return to the UK this Sunday, therefore her mother will now accompany her son to submit the application.

Chin was present when they applied for his passport, so did not need the affidavit.

His new passport was collected this morning and his settlement application will be submitted tomorrow.

well it seems that, as usual, some assumptions are wrong, despite the low pound/peso rate (69), the VFS will be using £1 = 75PHP, therefore the new fee for settlement is 48,300.
