    6 months married...

    Hello everyone
I'm a newbie here and I would like to ask for assistance from all of you
guys... I will really appreciate it. Thanks in advance

Me and my hubby knew each other from 2008... (he is a cousin of my college friend, Filipino and British citizen)

We met personally last May 2009 (officially as a couple, gf and bf)
then after one month of staying here he flew back again in UK and we continue our communications in skype and phone calls...
Oct. 2009 we are married civilly...

This coming end of April we will submit all the necessary documents for spouse settlement BUT I'm afraid that because we just married recently
(6 months in total) my visa would be denied...

    Please enlighten me...
just 6 months of being married would be a problem???

I hope you are keeping every reciept and every chat log and every phone bill and every piece of evidence that would show you have a genuine relationship.....this is what it's all about really, you must show them that you have a genuine relationship and not a sham marriage..as for being married already for 6 months...I don't think that will be problem..

Should not be a problem, when we submitted the application for my wife, we had been married 4 months.

Just submit all documents as specified on the checklist and your application should be ok.

My wife and I had only been married for just more than 1 month when we submitted our application and we didn't have any problems. As long as there is nothing to suggest that it is not a genuine relationship and the rest of the things you need are in place, ie money in the bank, accomodation and regular employment, you shouldn't have a problem getting a visa.

. As regards the length of time you've been married ... not a problem! Like Iain, I'd been married for little over a month when MY wife applied for her spousal visa ... and it was granted a further 4 weeks after that. As he, Nigel and Rusty have all indicated ... simply ensure you gather the [necessary] evidence they've mentioned to accompany your application and everything should be OK.

Thanks ladybug! how sweet of you...

Sis, do we need to inform the UK embassy or Phil embassy that we are married?
I read something about that here but I can't find it... do I need to send or marriage certificate to them?

    Thanks in advance!!!
