I was just going to say the same thing
Ian
Just that if I go on my own, don't see any people I know, I'll feel a bit out of place and like a lemon! Also being a bit shy, I find it quite hard to talk to women that I don't know!
thanks for the info regarding the parking...i have a toddler with me so hopefully it won't be too bad getting him and the pushchair on the tube.
Worry is like a rocking chair; It gives you something to do,but it doesn't get you anywhere!
Just go!...wander about, take it all in, relax, enjoy the sights, the smells etc. If you've not been to the Philippines before, it's the closest you will get to it...No Jeepneys to run you over though.
If you talk to anyone, it's a bonus...if not, just go home at the end of a great day.
We will be there. Going down tomorrow with our caravan and will site it near Amersham and then travel in each day. We have been several times before and I can echo many of the comments already made. The girls seem to love the stages (Connie got to sing on the big stage a few years ago) and all the socialising. She will meet up with some friends from around here plus her Aunty and another friend who lives in London. They will all bring mountains of food and picnic, Filipino style. We have regular gatherings of the local Filipino community here so it doesn't feel so special to me. In truth I find it pretty difficult to find anything to eat, not being a big fan of rice, lechon and definately not dried fish. I plan to go to a soccer match on Saturday, after an hour or so at the fiesta, and maybe not at all on Sunday! Don't tell Connie though. Parking is a pain and quite expensive.
I guess it was a bit like before I went to the cinema on my own. I didn't like the idea and I thought people would think if me a saddo on my own! But I got fed-up of missing films that I wanted to see, so I thought sod-it, I'll go on my own and it wasn't nearly as bad as I though & I now go often on my own and it doesn't worry me. Of course I do feel a bit jealous sometimes when I see couples and wish it was me!
well SEB..if u'll think like that, u'll never have fun whenever u go to gatherings like that..just enjoy every opportunity and meet people..show them ur a great guy women don't like guys who sulk most of the time..just a tip..
Will be worth a giggle I guess, as I only live in Yeading
Satellite/Cable TV/Radiocommunications specialist.
Spot on if you sit indoors or mope around then things wont change
SEB now im sure most people will check the Site and if they facebook with you that as well before going either the evening before or in the morning or at the event!!. If you and others know what people are wearing etc then a good chance you will bump in to people.
If you read last years many met up and had a good time. I will be walking round with the Wife, a friends daughter and poissibly a mate or two of mine and im sure during the course of the day we will have various other friends of ours meet up and tag along with and people dont know so well we bump into.
PS I have seen ladies either in pairs or on there own there I know due to conversations I or others in our parties have with them
Oh lord why did you make so many clothes and shoe shops
looking forward to London and Bristol July 25 woppiee
If it's not life threatening IGNORE it .. .
Ok, you twisted my arm! I'll post what I'm wearing on here once I know, so hopefully I'll bump into someone! Reason why I've been a bit pessimistic is I've not had a great week with one thing going wrong after another! Hope going to the festival cheers me up!
Where is best to park nearest there?
thats the spirit SEB, sure you will have a good time there, enjoy.
Good stuff
Well you have to end that run of bad luck and if you want to chat to Pinays trust me food is a great subject to have some knowledge of. The phils have many unique dishes which even if you have just seen will mean they see you take an intrest in their culture
Oh lord why did you make so many clothes and shoe shops
