There is a multistorey carpark Hounslow Civic Centre right next to the park that they take over for parking at the Barrio Fiesta, it used to be free but last year they were charging £10. We normally park in the residential streets around the park, it takes a while but you never normally have to walk too far.
What days are people going on?
will attend the barrio fiesta.
i want to see u all in London.... but how? Peanutz i will send you text message...

The nearest tube station is literally just up the road from the park. All throughout the day hundreds are walking to and from the park. The walk is not that bad and you will see plenty of others with pushchairs and prams making the walk. The walk is maybe 3 minutes or so which is not bad. Unless very lucky i doubt you will park nearer..
Oh lord why did you make so many clothes and shoe shops
I parked in the covered two storey civic centre car park, and it only cost £5...
Short 3 minutes walk as Andy said, and we were in the Park.
Got back about 7.15 good day out, weather stayed dry. We might go along again Sunday
Better than last year I thought.....
Great day out
I parked at the bowls club field (again) (£5) on Sutton Lane near the western entrance to Lampton Park
Hounslow Central station is for eastern entrance
Ok, I'm going today, so heres a couple of bigger mug shots of me (as I guess we're not meant to put our mobile numbers on here) as my avatar one is pretty small, so if you happen to see me, come and say hello!
We went today as well in the afternoon sorry mate didn't log in this morning as dashing about after i came back from a lonnnngg Jog.
Took loads of random pictures of the crowd which shows how vast the fiesta is and how many people are there. Which if the boss wants to me post I will but dont wanna waste bandwith.
Today we seem to spend most of the time in the funfair which was good the phill kid chavs seemed well behaved today Even their pitbulls were polite and smiling
I think the guy who owned the basketball net skill stall at the fair was regretting making it only get two baskets out of three for a huge cuddly toy as normally in the UK i bet its a safe bet most people rarely play basket ball in the UK but had not counted on all the basket ball crazy pinoys
Oh lord why did you make so many clothes and shoe shops
Not long back from 2nd Tour of Duty this weekend. Bloody hot and a lot more people than Saturday - maybe 50% more I'm no good at guestimating crowds. We give the funfair a wide birth as wife's not keen on rides and I'm not happy giving money to Pikeys - had to laugh at how all those huge soft toys are won
Yeah was boiling and the breeze went missing for big chunks of the day.
From a quick butchers at yesterdays and todays pictures I would say a good 50 percent more people. Loads more families camped out for the day some of the tents were hugggge..
Yeah the food area on the right hand side of the stage area was packed to a crazy level and of course not helped by families who decided to set up camp in the walkway
Seemed to be a lack of the marshalls who all seemed to stay on the empty side (to the left of the stage) where all the promotional stands were
I hope someone has the sense to have a word with people next time or sods law in the next year or two there be an accident and then the HnS people will go loopy
We had a group of teenagers with us whose mums had handed them dosh to spend some for foods and the rest to spend as they want which was on the rides three quid for the dodgems
Oh lord why did you make so many clothes and shoe shops
On asimilar theme - does anyone know if the Filipinom Summer Festival is still going ahead on Sunday 25th
On a similar theme - does anyone know if the Filipino Summer Festival is still going ahead on Sunday 25th July in Mitcham?
I haven't heardf anything about it for a long time and can't get in to their website
Many thanks
So SEB, the big question is?....did you pull, at the Fiesta?
Congrats to all who were there!
I failed to attend again as I don't want to be alone in the train. But then I enjoyed our sea fishing as we had load of catch this time.
Anyone go in the end? Was it good/awful/average?

That's a good website actually-lots of things going on!
Here's a few pics I took on Sunday near the end of the day:
hi SEB
did you have a goodtime at the fiesta?
Yeah, was an experience! Will go again, but know more what to expect and will get their earlier! Couldn't believe how many food stalls there were and how busy each one was!
Only things that were slightly annoying was that when I was walking from the car-park to the Lampton park, my friend phoned (from a friend of her's phone as the signal was bad on her phone) and said that she was in the middle. I got there and was surprised by how many people were there and wondered how the hell I was going to find her amongst a few thousand Filipinos! I phoned her, but because of her bad signal, couldn't get through, so spent ages walking around (also lugging 2 chairs) the 'middle' trying to find her and phoning her phone & her friends phone which also had a dodgey signal! Luckily I eventually got through to her friend after walking around for 45 minutes or so!
Was disappointed that I missed out on some Filipino coconut ice-cream as it had sold out when I went back!
Don't think I've even waited so long to get a go of the dodgems! Was a mass scramble as soon as the previous go finished!
Glad you made it ! We had the same problem with phones (both o2) I can only think the local transmitter mast must have been overwhelmed by the sheer number of calls. I was only able to find my wife cos she had texted me about half hour before I got there giving her approx location. A lot less numbers there and more comfortable climate on the Saturday, the queues were bearable.
Roll on next year
What was strange is that I'm also with O2, but had full 3G signal! But I had my new iphone 4 though , so even with these reports it seemed to be working very well and far better than other peoples phones!
