We went to the Dickens Festival in Rochester today and had a great time.
I've lived around here for most of the past 48 years and I didn't see a soul I know. The wife, who's been here 5 years, sees about 10 Filipinos she knows and meets another one and strikes up a friendship with her!
Where am I going wrong, or is it just that all my friends have emigrated?
I think they're all in the same place my mates are. I've lived around my area since I was 4 and now can spend 5 weeks at home and not see a soul I know, where as the missus is now always bumping into people.
