hi all has anyone heard from tony yet ??????
hi all has anyone heard from tony yet ??????
I don't think anyone had his number, so unless he pays us a visit, I guess we'll never know. Unless someone contacts the British Embassy they may know if he is ok.
Well he was still in one piece 3 weeks ago, he posted on here back then. How long did he plan to go over for, he seemed to be there on April 30th?
Hope things went well for him, he's a very shy lad!
3 weeks ago he had no money left..
With any luck, the girl will be looking after her investment..Just hope she can help him keep his visa updated..
Heard nothing in Cavite so perhaps thats a good sign.
Ah I see, not good :( really hope he is ok!
Regards Visa's I was amazed last month, I got caught in the ash cloud debacle and had to go to Intramuros to make sure that I would be ok on exit (our embassy said stranded passengers were ok and would not be penalised but I was not willing to take a chance).
Anyway I got to the BI only to discover that I had been given a Balikbayan stamp on entry !!!! Luckily I found this out before I spent two hours filling in forms only wasted a journey and maybe 10 minutes of our time.
I wish the lassie at NAIA immigration had at least told me I had a one year entry permit (BB status is not a visa) I hadn't a clue, it was only after going to the BI and looking closely that I realised there was no exit date on my passport stamp
Jim.. At least you now know what a BB stamp looks like!! lol..
Indeed a scribbled handwritten BB on the normal stamp  hahahaha
I should not actually have gotten it as Ana and I are still not married but the girl that processed us just assumed we were
Next time, I've got my kids NSO birth certificates and I'm going to try to blag it, you can ask for BB status on entry but they can ask for proof of marriage, we cant marry for technical reasons just now but I'm going to try to find out if I can get BB status on the basis of my kids being Filipino and point out that my last stamp was BB.
It's worth a try even though I wont actually use the privilege, only going for 10 days next time :(
I went alone once with my son..The immigration officer thought he was a cutie and seeing I had previously had BB stamps gave me another..
Its the luck of the draw but a 20 Pound note accidently left in a passport often sways the decision in our favour..Or so Im told!
No news here as well....been to Cabanatuan city bought some school supplies for my daughter and didn't spot him...
To Tony wherever you are....I hope you are fine just give me a ring to my pldt landline 8060265
Don't make promises when you are in JOY. Don't reply when you are SAD.
Don't take decisions when you are ANGRY. Think twice, Act wise. BE happy.
Tony how are you....I see you're reading this thread.
hello all, time to tell u all what ive been upto, well i had to borrow 10000piso to cover all the expenses of the wedding, got married on the 17th may at the house, was a wonderful day with lots of family there and we got 20000piso as gifts from the family, so i payed the 10000piso strait back to my friend,
disaster struck on the day we was suposed to come back to uk, there son started being sick ect, so he was in hospital for 3 days, was dehydrated, but was ok that night but needed to be sure, we canceled the flights and rebooked them for a week and a halft later on the 2nd june, my visa coverd me until 23rd of june so no worries there, i was anoyed but ended up enjoying the rest of my stay there, 2 days before my new flight i started crying alot and the drive to the airport was upsetting for us both, well when we was in the airport her sisters creditcard wouldnt work, but luckely my wife had enough money to pay the rebooking fee, and yes had to pay airport tax 750piso,
all sorted and arived in uk with a bounce and the brakes on the plane screeched, i think birmingham runway isnt long enough and dubia runway is far too long hehe, was a hot day in uk when i arived, was like in the phils ,
thankyou to the guy that invited me to his wedding on the 18th, sorry i couldnt reply and come, hope you had a great day, and thankyou all for the advice,
yes im an idiot for takeng risks, i took a big risk going there with hardly any money, if anything had of gone wrong i would of been in a right mess, i was very very lucky that nothing went wrong,
thankyou all, what i need to do now is sort out a job and save up until i have atleast £0000s of pounds so i can go there again next year,,
Glad to see you made it back safely...A married man as well
Yes, you did take a big risk, but you lived to tell the tale...Real living, bet you felt really alive, these last few weeks.
You need to plan your next move now, so stay on the forum, for some good advice.

Welcome back..& Many congratulations!
First of all, Tony ... Congratulations on your ! Glad all went well! Have you made any arrangements as regards your wife applying for her spousal visa? Good to know your stepson has recovered from his illness.
As you can imagine, everyone here has been concerned about your welfare ... as we hadn't "heard" from you for some time. Now we understand WHY!
Secondly, we're all mightily relieved to learn you're home again. back, take care ... and start saving for your new lives as a married couple!!
ty, im so happy to be back in uk, but i miss my new family and the cats, kittens, dogs, i miss everything so much, and the heart ache i have is bringing me to tears, but only time can make things better, so ill try to be patient
What a story - Congratulations !

Congats Tony and Welcome back
welcome back tony and congratulations
Glad you're back Tony!
Congratulations
Though you do not write books, you are the writer of your life. Because everything depends on YOU.
Welcome back home Tony
Congratulations to you and your wife on your wedding
First thing for you to do is to start saving as it is going to be an expensive time for you in your endeavour to bring your wife to the UK.
I hope you have kept your airplane ticket and any hotel invoices as these will be required for your "evidence of relationship".
You will need to do a lot of searching on this forum so you will know what you have to do from now on.
Start making a list of the things you will need to do.
You will probably have to go back there again to help your "evidence of relationship".
Start keeping a log of all your email or instant messenger chats with your wife. Keep all photos and any letters too.
Start reading and asking questions here, everyone will assist you.
Prepare well and it will save you time and money.
So.......another sucker who has fallen for those lovely Filipina eyes and loving ways (Join the club )
Enjoy your memories for now until you can see her again.
That is scary. I know what it feels like to run out of funds My employer wouldn't pay me until I got back.
I'm glad those days have gone....for the time being anyway
Strangely Cavite is where my Jane is from.
ahh, many a long hot night spent worrying were the next peso was coming from, lucky for us the visa arrived in time.
