Spouse Visa

Hi Ya! I am new to the website and would like to make new friends and get some good advices.
I just got married to a british national and we are now going to apply for a spouse visa soon. we almost have all the documents ready for application. But one thing that worries me is that I have been in the UK from 2005-2009 under the Work Permit Dependant from my Filipino ex-husband. Im worried that it might affect my application. He has abandoned me and left me to live with his other woman. But since i was working with the NHS and my ex-husband was totally a right *******, i was the only one supporting our children in the Philippines. I know i should have gone home as soon as we split up but i didnt have a choice. I needed to work, send money to the Philippines and saved up before i go back home when my visa expires. And during my stay in the UK i have met my husband and decided to file annulment here in the Philippines. We were furtunate to get the annulment in just 4 months and so he came to the Philippines for us to get married. So now all our documents are almost ready.. from his bank statements, payslips, P60, his employment certificate, job offer for me from my old boss, our marriage contract, all my annulment papers with my ex-husband, accommodation, supporting letters, our picture together in the Uk, letters and cards, emails, our wedding photos...anything else?
We have consulted an agency and we were told that the easiest way is to get a spouse visa as we so wonna be together as soon as possible.
Is there anyone of you who have the same experience as mine or could give us the advice and the possibilities of getting the visa.
Please i really need your help. Thank you so much in advance and looking forward to hear from you lot.

you over staying shouldnt be a problem, as long as you didn't Significantly contrived to frustrate immigration rules (using deception etc)

Hi! Thanks you very much for the reply. Really appreciate. I have a stamped on my old passport on the date that i arrived Philippines and it was before my visa expired. Did you mean that i overstayed in the UK when i split up with my ex-husband?

Do you know how long does it normally takes waiting for their response with regards to the succesful visa? I need to get back there before my husband's birthday in November. I dont want him to be on his own again like the last time because i have to leave the UK.

i think the normal is 6 weeks maybe a bit longer or if your lucky maybe sooner, if that makes any sense , aim for just over 6 weeks

When MY wife applied, WE were told by VFS to expect a waiting period of approximately 3 months. In the event, her spouse visa was granted just under five weeks later. So it would be fair to say that times CAN and DO vary considerably ... depending on the British Embassy's workload. But I shouldn't think you need worry overmuch as - if you submit your application as soon as possible - I'm 99.9% certain you'll HAVE your visa LONG before your husband's birthday!

I just dont understand why do we have to go through this. Its a common sense that we have a good english communication wether if its just a basic one or whatever with our foreign spouses and understands each other and end up saying "I Do".
Oh well nevermind! As long as no one fails the test and not waste the money aside from the visa fee which has been increased again.
So thats it. I had my moan!

She didnt over stay her visa, this is what she said. She stayed because of wanting to earn money for whatever reason, She had every right to becuse her visa hadn't expired.
All because her marrage failed, didn't mean she had to return to the Philippines.
You are right about needing to inform border controls in Croydon about her marrage break up.

Hi guys!
ANOTHER QUESTION.
My brother in law has a Thai girlfriend and now pregnant. He has now sent his documents for her to apply for a fiancee visa. And we will be living with him as soon as i arrive in the UK. Hes got a 2 bedroom house, so if hes pregnant girlfriend comes before me then would that be a problem with my application with regards to my accommodation? My husband has raised this issue as he got confused and now worried that the UKBA will find out that its going to be too crowded for me and my husband to live with them. But as soon as i get a job, we will be moving out and would want to have our own place and lots space!
Please can anyone advice us with regards to this as my husband currently lives with him and all his documents are addressed to his brother's.
Cant blame my brother inlaw i know everybody wants to be with their love ones. But he said we are very welcome to stay there. Oh actually hes already got the plan to make an extension in his house and its now approved by this land thing...sorry forgot what its called.
We just wonna know if in 2 bedroom house is ok for 2 couples to live together for the meantime while we are preparing for our own.
