no one can tell you what to do, but if your ready to go with your visa then i would do it, he might not lose his job, and also the embassy probably will not contact his employer.
if you leave it and he does lose his job, you'll have to wait til he finds a new one
also as you've said you really need to get your son here b4 hes 18 , you could have problems here..
