    Education

    Good morning guys,
can anybody help regarding this . When we are married my gf wants if possible to bring her 2 children here, the eldest at the moment is 16 and just starting a Bsc in engineering, if it comes to it she will stay there for the forseeable future while I stay here and go back as often as i can, something we have been doing as bf and gf for the last 18 months, not ideal i know but thats a sacrifice that may have to be made......(.i also have kids by the way).

Does anybody know if her son can carry on his education here and how we would investigate the possibilities, i believe his course is a 5yr programme.
    Thanks in advance

will tell you what the degree is equivalent to in the uk, some phil degrees are only equivalent to a hnc/hnd.

where are her kids going to live once your wife is in the uk ? because they should be in the uk really b4 they are 18

you know if her son comes to the uk he'll probably have to pay international fees.
when are you intending to get married ?

We will get married asap as her annulment is through. The trial finished in Jan this yr, so hopefully we will get a decision any day now...but then as they say, 'only in the phils'................im not holding my breath . I know its just a waiting game

then it might be better for you to apply for a settlement visa for her and her kids soon as your married.
maybe he can go and do a couple of A levels here ?? not sure the cost of that thou..
once your wife has been in the uk 2yrs apply for ILR, and i think he has to be in the uk 3yrs to get home fees.
so if he comes here at 16, does A level for 2yrs, takes a year gap, he should be able to pay home uni fees and do a degree here.

i suppose it all comes to home much money you have to pay for fees !

not much point in him doing a 5yr degree if hes going to have to drop out !
