    CNI question

I have learned from one of the threads in this forum that it will only take less than an hour to get the philippines version of CNI, but i have also read in this site " http://ukinthephilippines.fco.gov.uk...ply-for-a-cni/ " that you will to wait for 24 hours before it will be released. is this a new guideline?

I visited Uk Embassy in Manila this past April and my CNI was issued whilst me and the wife waited , they were quite busy because it was last day of businnes before public holiday , total time waiting a little over 4 hours .

based on our experience it only took few minutes to get the CNI certificate for my hubby. and im sure others didnt take longer than 1 hour to have that certificate as long as you have all the necessary documents with you.

    you need these:

*Original UK issued CNI or Original Notice of Marriage issued by the British Embassy abroad
    *Pay the CNI fee
Payable only in Philippine Pesos and in cash at the current Consular rate of Exchange
    *Original UK passport
    *Original UK birth certificate
*If widowed, present original death certificate of deceased spouse
*If divorced/annulled, present the original divorce decree/annulment papers

    refer to this: http://ukinthephilippines.fco.gov.uk...ply-for-a-cni/
